High on a hilltop in Rwanda, with panoramic views of the Virunga Volcano Range, Lake Ruhondo and Lake Bulera sits the Virunga Lodge. The perfect base for tracking gorillas in the Parc National des Volcans, this Eco-conscious lodge is said to have the 'best view in the world'.
It was completely refurbished in 2010, and offers eight bandas reflecting the local 'organic, bush- chic' design style. Each has a luxurious en-suite bathroom with full facilities including flush toilets and solar heated hot water. Enjoy spending time on your private veranda, or in the main lodge around a roaring fire during your Gorilla tracking adventure.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
