Lemosho Route Camps

Camping on the Lemosho Route is fully supported and set against the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro. Climbers sleep at a different camp each night as the route climbs from Big Tree Camp in the rainforest to Barafu Camp, the last stop below the summit. The same camp setup is used at each stop on the route, with sleeping tents, a dining tent, and shared washroom facilities.

Campsite
Climbers sleep in walk-in tents fitted with a camp bed and a camp pillow. The tents are set up at each campsite along the route, so climbers return to the same style of tent every night on the mountain.

Amenities & Facilities
Each camp has a large dining tent with dining chairs with backs, where climbers gather for meals. Portable toilets are provided at a ratio of one per five climbers, and camp showers are provided at the same ratio of one per five climbers. A water filter is available at camp for drinking water.
