When my husband and I were in Peru a few season ago... And had even heard a few stories from a co-worker of mine who had a brush with a security dog at the airport who sniffed out a bit of coca leave reside on her pants after a few weeks in Peru, without a good wash. Don't worry, it ended well.
But what surprised me were the uses of the coca leaf that went way beyond a simple cup of tea to subside the effects of altitude.
