Missoula CASA Banquet at the Double Tree
Adventure Life was well-represented at the recent Missoula CASA Light of Hope Banquet.  Our company sponsored a table at the event that was held February 7th at the Double Tree Hotel.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a national non-profit organization serving abused and neglected children on a local level.  CASA staff trains volunteers to work as advocates for vulnerable children in the court system.  The volunteers interview their assigned child, as well as people involved in the child's life:  parents, teachers, foster families, counselors, and relatives.  Advocates then submit reports to the court presenting what they believe is in the best interest of the child.  The main objective is to find a safe and permanent home for each child.  CASA of Missoula advocates for hundreds of children in Missoula and Mineral counties every year.
Event speakers included Montana State Superintendent, Denise Juneau, CASA Board of Directors, John Mudd, and CASA Executive Director, Tara Jensen.  Missoula Mayor John Engen led a fun live auction, which included a Paws Up Resort package, Snowbowl lift tickets, guided fly fishing trip, tickets to see Jack Johnson at the Gorge, and so many more great items!  Adventure Life was honored to support this organization benefiting the children of our community.
