Morning and afternoon safaris offer opportunities to track lions, leopards, and elephants across the miombo woodlands and open plains. Activities include game drives, walking safaris led by expert guides, and birding excursions.
Musekese’s position near the Kafue River also allows for boat trips, where hippos, crocodiles, and countless bird species can be spotted. Back at camp, relax in the open lounge overlooking the water or charge devices using solar power. Meals are prepared using fresh local ingredients and served in a communal setting.
Day 4: Fly to Lower Zambezi | Transfer to Kutali Camp
After breakfast, depart Musekese and return to Lufupa Airstrip for a scenic flight aboard the Classic Zambia Cessna 210 to Jeki Airstrip in Lower Zambezi National Park. The flight lasts around 1.5 hours, showcasing the Zambezi River and escarpment as the landscape shifts from plains to riverine forest.
From Jeki, meet the guide for a game-drive transfer to Kutali Camp, located in a shaded Winterthorn forest on the banks of the Zambezi. After lunch and a rest, join an afternoon game drive or river activity, with options for boat safaris or canoeing. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and storytelling around the fire.
Day 5-6: Safari Activities in Lower Zambezi | Kutali Camp
Enjoy two full days of varied safari experiences at Kutali Camp. Mornings begin with a light breakfast before heading out on game drives, bush walks, or canoe trips. Lower Zambezi is known for its large herds of elephant, buffalo, and frequent sightings of leopard and lion.
Afternoons bring the chance to relax or venture out on a boat safari, with sundowners on the river as the sun sets behind the escarpment. The camp’s intimate setting and minimal footprint allow close encounters with wildlife. Return to a hearty dinner and fall asleep to the sounds of the bush.
After a final breakfast at Kutali, travel by boat along the Zambezi to Chula Island Camp. This remote camp sits on a wild island in the middle of the river and offers a more rustic, adventurous atmosphere. The journey itself is part of the experience, with excellent wildlife sightings along the way.
Upon arrival, settle into the tented accommodations and enjoy lunch in the open-air dining area. In the afternoon, join a guided walk on the island or a fishing excursion. Evenings are spent around the campfire, with the sounds of the river in the background.

Start each day with a guided walk at sunrise, tracking animals by footprint and sound. Learn about the smaller details of the ecosystem, from bird calls to termite mounds.
Midday offers downtime at camp before setting off on afternoon canoeing or boat trips. The camp's low-impact design and solar-powered systems make it a model for sustainable travel. Each evening ends with dinner under the stars and stories shared by guides and guests alike.
Day 10: Fly to Mwaleshi | Transfer to Kutandala Camp
After breakfast, transfer back to Jeki Airstrip for a flight aboard Classic Zambia’s Cessna 210 to Mwaleshi Airstrip in North Luangwa National Park. This flight takes approximately 2 hours, flying over the Luangwa Valley and its winding river systems.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
