Pump Runs - As the dry season leaves the area completely void of water, wildlife have subsisted on water pumped by men for the past 70 years in this area, once by windmills, and now by generator powered pumps. The lodges in the area shoulder the responsibility for maintaining the pumps as well as providing for the attendants who operate them. Join the staff as they set out to a watering hole with fuel for the generator and rations for the attendant. Enjoy a snack or lunch en route, spot wildlife, and return to the lodge in the afternoon.
Look Up Underground Blind - Explore the elephant-proof hide located about a 5 minute drive from the lodge. Disguised as an antheap, the blind offers up close and personal photography opportunities, particularly at sunrise and sunset of these magnificent giants.
