Nehimba Lodge

Game Drives -  Set out on open safari vehicles to view game in Hwange National Park with an experienced guide. Explore the Mopane Woodlands and Kalahari Sandveld, which are both nearby and offer two different game-viewing experiences. This area of the park is well-watered and home to a host of wildlife, particularly the elephant-hunting lions.

Game Walks - For those looking for a different perspective, set out on foot with an armed guide and experience the thrill of approaching wildlife on foot. Your guide can teach the basics of how to track the wildlife from the ground.

Night Drives - Experience game-viewing in a different light! Set out in the concession spotting wildlife by spotlight. Try to spot nocturnal wildlife in the region such as hyena, porcupine, civet, genet cats, and possibly even a leopard!

The Nehimba Hide - Situated on a hill, this platform offers a great vantage point from which you can enjoy a sundowner and a breathtaking view of the waterhole at sunset.

The Nehimba Seap - This designated conservation area is one of the only permanently occurring waterholes in the whole of Hwange National Park. This ancient source of water was once used by the San Bushmen, and now is used by elephants.

Visit Mandavu Dam - Situated close-by, the Mandavu Dam is a great location for both game-viewing and birding. Take a leisurely morning drive to the dam and enjoy a picnic brunch at the water's edge.

Visit Mtoa Ruins - Approximately a 2 hour drive from camp, these ruins are located on top of a low granite kopje and offer excellent views of the park. Enjoy a packed lunch at the site, explore the ancient ruins, and set out on a meandering game drive back to the lodge in the afternoon.
