Experience a comfortable and leisurely stay on the shores of Lake Kariba and inside Matusadona National Park. Close access to both lakeside activities and Zimbabwe safari game drives offer guests 'the best of both worlds' and a comfortable lodge to retreat to at the end of the day. Enjoy guided game drives, safari walks or rhino-tracking in the park, or opt to spend time on the lake canoeing or enjoying catch-and-release fishing.
The main lodge offers a pool, bar, battery-charging facilities, and a restaurant with communal dining. A lounge area allows for relaxing at the end of the day, and babysitting services are available for families traveling with younger children.
Luxury Tents - Styled with comfort in mind, these tents use local rustic woods and African decor including leatherwork and weaving to create a truly inspiring backdrop for your safari experience. An under-the-stars outdoor shower and bath also offer you a breathtaking vantage for relaxing. All tents are 'mosquito-proofed' and include a private verandah with vistas to the lake.
Family Tent - Two family tents are available which consist of two luxury tents adjoined by a passageway. An ensuite bathroom is available off each tent with the outdoor bathroom located off the main tent.
Game Drive - Enjoy a leisurely drive in open safari vehicles as you explore the wildlife seen in the area. A professional and experienced guide accompanies you to help you maximize the experience in Matusadona National Park.
Game Walks - Set out with a guide to observe the wildlife in the region from a different vantage point. A guide accompanies you to help spot wildlife and share any safety information you may need during your Matusadona adventure.
Birdwatching - Climb on to the pontoon boats with a guide and explore the waters of Lake Kariba. Birdlife is prolific here and elephants and antelope wander in great numbers here.
Fishing - Lake Kariba is a fisherman's paradise. Explore the water with a guide on a pontoon boat and try your hand reeling in the renowned Tiger Fish. Bream fishing is also popular here and often a daily catch!
This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.

From the initial booking all the way through the trip, this was by far our favorite trip. Small boat travel is the only way to see a location. The excursions were so much more than I could explain. The locations were remote and awesome.
