Arrive on your 5-star deluxe Nile cruise boat, where you will be welcomed by the reception staff. Lunch will be served on board. After lunch, take a ride on a felucca (a typical Egyptian sail boat) around Elephantine Island, Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens, and the Agha Khan Mausoleum (weather permitting, life jackets will be provided). Afternoon tea will be served in the lounge. In the evening, you will be greeted by your Boat Manager for a cocktail reception, who will review your cruise program for the upcoming days. Enjoy local Egyptian wine and beer, as well as a selection of canapés, followed by a gourmet dinner.
A breakfast buffet will be served on board, followed by a short motorboat ride to visit the romantic and majestic Philae Temple on the Island of Agilika. This will be followed by a visit to the Granite Quarries, which supplied the ancient Egyptians with most of the hard stone used in pyramids and temples, and still hold a huge unfinished obelisk. Enjoy lunch, while you cruise to Kom Ombo. Spend the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the facilities on board, including the pool, games room and gymnasium. Afternoon tea will be served while you cruise to Edfu. Enjoy an Egyptian buffet menu for tonight’s dinner with the chance for guests to dress up in traditional Egyptian “galabeyya”.

Take time to enjoy the facilities on board, including the pool, games room and gymnasium. Continue sailing to Luxor, while having your afternoon tea. A gourmet dinner will be served on board.

Explore the Valley of the Kings, a vast City of the Dead where magnificent tombs were carved into the desert rocks, richly decorated, and filled with treasures for the afterlife by generations of Pharaohs. Visit at least one tomb in the Valley of the Queens and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. On the way back to the Nile River, pass by the famed Colossi of Memnon, known in Ancient Greek times for their haunting voices at dawn. Afternoon tea and dinner are served on board. Tonight’s dinner is a gourmet meal (jacket required).

The beautifully preserved Great Hypostyle Hall was built during the reign of the Roman Emperor Claudius; it was excavated from the silt that had accumulated through centuries of annual Nile floods and is about nine meters below present-day street level. Continue to enjoy your cruise onward to Edfu, while enjoying your lunch. Afternoon tea will be served in the lounge. You will also have the chance to take part in an Egyptian cooking lesson, as you continue cruising to Kom Ombo. Enjoy a Egyptian buffet menu for tonight’s dinner with the chance for guests to dress up in traditional Egyptian “galabeyya”.

The temple stands at a bend in the Nile where, in ancient times, sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the riverbank. Return to the boat and enjoy your cruise to Aswan. Lunch will be served on board.Enjoy your afternoon tea in the lounge. Tonight’s dinner will be a gala dinner, with white-gloved waiters serving gourmet cuisine.

Accommodation Information
- Sun Boat IV has 34 Cabins, 2 Presidential Suites and 2 Royal Suites. Triple cabin accommodation is only available in Nile Deck Cabins, and in the Presidential and Royal Suites.
- Nile Adventure has 26 Cabins, 2 Junior suites and 2 Presidential. Triple cabin accommodation is only available in Nile Deck Cabins, and in the Presidential.
Single Occupancy
All single occupancy bookings are subject to the single rates listed.
Children Policy
Children aged 10 and over are welcome on board all Sanctuary boats. Children aged 15 and younger are required to share a cabin with at least one adult.
Child Rates
One child aged up to and including 15 years sharing a Nile Deck Cabin, Presidential Suite or Royal Suite with two adults pays the child rate listed for Sanctuary Sun Boat IV. On all other occasions children pay the adult rate.
Initial deposit is 20% non-refundable, and most travelers will call our office and pay the deposit with a credit card.
Final payment is due 70 days prior to departure by bank transfer, check or credit card. All final payments by credit card may be subject to a surcharge and maximum of $20,000 charge
Everything was amazing! The planning with Adventure Life went smoothly. The actual trip was fantastic! One of the best trips I have experienced. The cruise staff members were knowledgeable and attentive. I will be writing more about this on the blog!
