Arrive in Iquitos, a lively city surrounded by rainforest and rivers. Meet the crew at the airport and travel in comfort by private vehicle to Nauta. Enjoy a packed lunch on the way as you take in the first views of the Amazon region. In Nauta, one of Loreto’s oldest towns, board the Delfin vessel at a private port and settle into your suite featuring local materials, soft fabrics, and a private terrace overlooking the river.
As the ship moves along the Marañón River, meet the naturalist guide in the observation lounge for a briefing on the wildlife, landscapes, and history of the region. At dusk, board a skiff for an evening exploration through the flooded forest. Watch monkeys move through the branches and birds gather near the water. After sunset, continue searching for caimans, owls, and other nocturnal animals beneath the Amazon’s starry sky.
Start early at Iquitos Caño as the rainforest comes alive with movement and sound. Watch bright birds flying overhead and sloths resting high in the trees. Later, visit the Amazon Natural Park to walk forest trails and learn about medicinal plants used by local communities. Take part in a traditional ceremony led by a shaman who shares the cultural and spiritual heritage of the region.
In the afternoon, explore the Yanayacu River by skiff or kayak through calm, reflective waters surrounded by dense forest and wildlife calls. After dinner, join a guided night safari along the Nauta Caño to look for caimans, owls, and other nocturnal species under the clear Amazon night sky.
Begin your morning at Las Palmas, where the calm waters invite you to experience the traditional art of piranha fishing. This is a cherished Amazonian practice that connects you with the rhythms of local life.
Later in the morning, venture into the rainforest at Fundo Casual for a guided trail walk. Surrounded by towering trees and incredible biodiversity, you’ll uncover the forest’s hidden wonders and learn about the delicate balance that sustains this ecosystem.
In the afternoon, visit the Confluence, where two powerful tributaries meet to form the mighty Amazon River—a breathtaking natural spectacle. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage with a local riverside community, gaining insight into their traditions, daily life, and deep relationship with the river..
Day 4: Disembarkation | Bee Project and ARCOF| Transfer to Iquitos

With warm hearts, the staff will bid you farewell as your journey comes to an end. At Nauta’s port, the team will escort you by private vehicle back to Iquitos, a scenic 95-kilometer drive. Before your flight, enjoy an interactive activity about melipona stingless bees and their crucial role in the Amazon ecosystem. You’ll also visit the Amazon Research Center for Ornamental Fishes, where you can admire the Amazon’s vibrant aquatic life—from giant arapaima to colorful freshwater stingrays. This final stop offers a beautiful farewell to the region’s rich biodiversity. the team will assist with your luggage and check-in at Iquitos airport. At security, your guide and the Delfin crew will warmly say goodbye, hoping your Amazon journey leaves you with unforgettable memories.
