The hotel we stayed in was rustic and pretty, there were many winding staircases, that led to private knooks and overlook points. We had a great view of the town. The town was easy to navigate and our guide gave us the lowdown on places to have dinner.
We took a small boat to the residential side of the island, where we saw numerous marine iguanas. We sea kayaked off the beach of the Finch Bay hotel. It's a beautiful beach, and the sea kayaking was easy in the calm waters. We weaved into a section of water that was blocked by large rocks, and we saw and old sunken shrimp and many many seabirds: bluefooted boobies, pelicans, cranes. We had lunch poolside at the Finchbay hotel and an blue heron was sunning himself on one of the lawn chairs, and three cute little ducks were playing in the pool.
