This afternoon, board World Explorer and begin your expedition. Get ready for a great adventure ahead!

Day 3-4: At Sea

Day 5-8: Exploring East Greenland

  • Ship
  • 4 Breakfasts, 4 Lunches, 4 Dinners
Today, enjoy the Zodiac cruises and shore visits to several locations. Explore the remains of ancient Thule settlements and keep an eye out for grazing muskoxen—40 percent of the world’s muskoxen population lives here. Finally, sail through spectacular Scoresbysund, the birthplace of many icebergs and, some say, the most beautiful fjord system in the world.

Day 9-10: At Sea

  • Ship
  • 2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 2 Dinners
As you continue to cruise north, the Greenland Sea is your pathway toward Svalbard. On deck, learn to identify seabirds “on the wing.” Take in a presentation, share your photos, sip an icy cocktail in the bar or watch a movie—there are many things to do during your time at sea.

Day 11-14: Exploring Spitsbergen

  • Ship
  • 4 Breakfasts, 4 Lunches, 4 Dinners
Explore and enjoy the abundant wildlife and austere beauty found in the largest island in the Norwegian Svalbard archipelago, Spitsbergen. Visit the spectacular glacier fronts and steep-walled fjords, with walrus, polar bears and Svalbard reindeer amongst your possible wildlife sightings. You will be thrilled to see to arctic terns, skuas, long-tailed ducks, kittiwakes and ivory gulls and if conditions permit, sail within 10 degrees of the North Pole!

Day 15: Longyearbyen | Disembark | Fly to Oslo

  • 1 Breakfast
The time to say goodbye has come. Your adventure ends in the frontier-style settlement of Longyearbyen. From here, head to the airport for your return group charter flight to Oslo.
