After twenty-two hours of flying, I finally arrived in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires. I decided to stop over for a couple of days to break up the trip, and to soak in the history, architecture, and energy of Argentina’s capital. My time in the city was short but rich: I took a tango lesson before a show, and despite stepping on my instructor’s toes twice, she told me I was a natural. The intense summer heat gave way to a refreshing afternoon rain shower, and the evening brought cool air, local wine, and dinner in a lively plaza in the historic neighborhood of San Telmo. I finally crawled into bed around three in the morning.
From there, I flew south to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world and the launching point for Antarctic expeditions. For travelers looking for things to do in Ushuaia, the city offers incredible nature, history, and adventure. Exploring the Beagle Channel, visiting Tierra del Fuego National Park, and strolling the waterfront are just a few of the best things to do in Ushuaia. On my first night in town, I treated myself to a feast of freshly caught king crab, a delicious introduction to the flavors of Patagonia—an essential stop for anyone researching things to do in Ushuaia Argentina.
Whether you’re into hiking, wildlife, or sailing, you’ll find plenty of Ushuaia things to do to fill your days at the end of the world.

Jane was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive and knowledgeable. She took time to understand what my priorities were, and to answer all my queries and make adjustments to create a bespoke tour for me. We worked together to plan out a trip which I am so excited about! I usually travel independently and make my all own travel arrangements but I am so happy with the travel plans I have made with Jane for my South America trip, as this time I will be travelling solo and I have never travelled in the region before. 5 stars and much gratitude!
