Day 1: High Mountain Tour Mendoza

Head out early this morning en route to the Vaults of Uspallata. Along the way enjoy views of the Cordón del Plata mountain range as well as the Potrerillos dike, a hydraulic work that generates power to the Mendoza Valley. Upon arriving at the Vaults of Uspallata, learn the history of the pre-Hispanic settlement of the Aboriginal Huarpes and the southernmost point of the Inca Empire, as well as enjoy a typical Argentine lunch.

Next explore the villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas and Punta de Vacas with your guide. Nearby head to the Los Penitentes ski resort where you can opt to take a chair lift to the top of the mountain to take in views of the majestic Mendoza Valley. On your way back to Mendoza, stop at the Aconcagua Provincial Park for a short hike with your guide. A great way to explore Mendoza and the surrounding areas.
