This incredible experience begins at the Bajo de las Sombras port. There a boat awaits to take you to the west coast of Rico Lake (approx. 10 mins) where you disembark. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Perito Moreno glacier’s front walls as your guide double checks all the gear before heading out. Hike following the lateral moraine, for about an hour and a half, until we reach the access to the glacier. After fitting harnesses and crampons on our footwear step out onto the the ice. The world takes a new perspective: blue lagoons, deep cracks, enormous drains, caves, and the unique sensation to feel in the middle of the glacier. Spend the about three and a half hours with your guide on one of the most spectacular glaciers in the world. Along the way, your guide will stop to explain the ice formations and surrounding areas. Enjoy lunch on the ice before returning to the boat to navigate for 20 minutes close to the southern wall. (This tour has a minimum age of 18 years old and a maximum age of 50 years old).

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
