Named after the artistic association that supported creative talent in Bali during the 1930s, the name Pita Maha translates as "great shining." The resort occupies a hillside above the Tjampuhan ridge in Ubud's cultural district, with its 24 private villas spread across a landscaped compound designed to reflect the layout of a traditional Balinese village. Each villa category draws on indigenous materials, teak and timber furnishings, and artwork by local Ubud artisans. The property is situated near the confluence of the Wos and Campuhan rivers, an area of cultural significance in Ubud. Dining centers on the Terrace Restaurant, a split-level space open all day with a menu of Balinese and international cuisine and a weekly schedule of cultural performances.

Room Specifications
All villa categories offer double or twin bed configurations and include free Wi-Fi, a minibar, TV, an in-room safe, and an open terrace or verandah. Bathrooms across most categories include both a shower and a bathtub. The Valley Suite additionally provides a hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. Check-in is at 14:00, and check-out is at 12:00 across all categories. One child under 12 stays free per villa without an extra bed or breakfast.
