Your journey begins with a light aircraft flight from Maun Airport to to the Khwai region. Upon arrival, transfer to Machaba Camp and settle into your luxury tent to begin your Okavango Delta Adventure!
Machaba Camp is situated on the eastern tongue of the Okavango Delta in the game-rich Khwai area overlooking the Moremi Game Reserve. Built along the beautiful riverine tree-line of the Khwai River, this child-friendly tented camp boasts instant game viewing from its prime riverfront setting. Enjoy two scheduled safari activities daily. Game drives are conducted in the mornings and afternoon/evenings at camp. They usually last about three hours each and are conducted along the river systems and floodplains around the camp. The wildlife in the area is prolific and chances are good to see some of the larger predators, herds of elephant and buffalo, and all the plains animals that occur here. Night drives are conducted in the early evening, offering one a chance to see the smaller more nocturnal animals with spotlights.
Today you will fly from the Khwai region to Gomoti Plains. Here you will settle into your "home" at Gomoti Plains Camp, a luxury tent camp situated in a private concession on the Gomoti River system. This area in the southeastern part of the Okavango Delta is home to large herds of buffalo, a healthy lion population, and plenty of giraffe!
Enjoy your time at Gomoti Plains Camp with two scheduled safari activities daily. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives around the river systems and flood plains around camp. The wildlife in the area is prolific and chances are good to see some of the larger predators, herds of elephant and buffalo, and all the plains animals that occur here. Night drives are conducted in the early evening, offering one a chance to see the smaller more nocturnal animals with spotlights. Cool off in the afternoon by the pool or indulge in a spa treatment!
Day 5: Fly to &Beyond Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp
Today fly to &Beyond Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp which lies in the heart of the Delta. This 8,000 hectare property is nestled under a canopy of ebony trees and overlooks scenic lagoons, channels, and floodplains. Nine safari tents are built on raised wooden platforms with extended private decks giving guests the experience of being a natural part of the Delta.
The muted hue of the interiors and stylish furnishings blend seamlessly with the pristine landscape of the Delta. Spacious central areas include comfortable indoor and outdoor living spaces and link the tents by a system of walkways skirting the lagoon. Between exciting morning and afternoon game drives, walks, power boating, and mokoro activities, guests can cool off in the pool. At night, dozens of twinkling candles cast a soft glow over the dining area creating a magical setting for meals that end each spectacular day.
Day 8: Return Maun

Today fly back to Maun where your tour concludes. Decide to continue your journey or return home after a beautiful week in Botswana!

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.

The holiday of a lifetime. The company is Alaksa-owned and thhat makes a big difference to the experineces you get i.e. meet genuine First Nations tribes people. The amount of wildlife was beyond my expectation, and seeing everything on sucha small, intimate boat made it even more spoecial and unique.

Adventure Life covered all the details in planning our trip to Ireland. Any questions we had were answered immediately. Any trip glitches, which always happen when traveling, were resolved immediately. There were no worries, just fun!

It was an outstanding, up-close, educational vacation of nature, culture, history, animals and geology! It was everything they promised! Binoculars were plentiful on the boat, but I'm glad I brought my own. Food was excellent. Rooms had black-out shades. Pack/wear multiple layers of clothing (I carried a small backpack when off the ship). Crew were delightful and very accommodating! Remember to jump FEET FIRST first when taking the optional polar plunge! Spend as much time outdoors as you are able and ENJOY!!!

Excellent travel advice and service
This is my second experience working with Adventure Life. I’m sold. Jess Heuermann is an experienced traveler and provides a lot of useful information when planning a trip. These are the questions I like to ask at the outset - What’s it like to go here, there, what would you suggest, what do people report, can we add any additional side trips? Jess took the time to answer my questions and seek additional information to share with me. Petchie Colina is outstanding in helping with travel logistics and final preparations. Adventure Life has excellent guides and offers private guides and small group adventures. We enjoyed the opportunity to talk with the guides and drivers to learn more about their countries, cultures and histories. A highlight was having the guides pick local restaurants where we could share meals together. Highly recommend.

Our six-day tour in Iceland went smoothly with one exception. We had asked for two rooms each night. Somehow we were booked with one room with three beds. It could not be fixed at the first hotel in Reykjavik because the hotel was fully booked. Once informed of the problem, however, Adventure Life rebooked for two rooms for the remainder of the trip. As an 85-year-old traveler, I appreciated that one could participate at different physical levels at many of the stops. Iceland is a great place to visit but on the expensive side.
