The Caiman Ecological Refuge is located on a 53,000 ha ranch in Brazil. The lodge features an Environmental Interpretation Center, which aims to offer insight into the history of Brazil, and is composed of two lodges with independent operation. Both lodges offer contact with fauna, flora, and culture.
The Caiman Ecological Refuge is an interactive lodge and offers walking trails in the woods, a photographic safari, Canadian canoe trip, nocturnal spotlighting, biking, birdwatching, and boat trips. The lodge offers guests the chance to experience great flora and fauna on a Brazil wildlife tour.
Guests may choose to stay either at Cordilheira Lodge or Baiazinha Lodge:
Cordilheira Lodge was recently renovated and features five double suites. Each suite offers a living room, bathroom, powder room and balcony, and can accommodate two people. There is also a pool deck available. Guests are delighted with the harmony between lodge and nature.
Baiazinha Lodge is a bird-shaped house and is located on the shores of a lake. The lodge features six standard rooms, which are situated on the wings of the bird. Each room has a balcony which is perfectly aligned for watching the sun set over Pantanal. The rooms are decorated in a traditional ranch style and are very comfortable.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
