Ocean Adventurer is a handsome expedition vessel reminiscent of the days of the great ocean liners, with lots of varnished wood and brass. Formerly known as the
Sea Adventurer and the
Clipper Adventurer, she sails on a wide variety of cruises — in Europe, the Canadian Arctic, the U.S., South America, and Antarctica.
Built in 1975 as the Alla Tarasova in the former Yugoslavia, the 120-passenger
Ocean Adventurer underwent a $13-million conversion in Scandinavia. She will be refurbished in 2017 and is a superb oceangoing vessel equipped with stabilizers and an ice-strengthened hull that allows her to navigate easily in the most rugged natural environments. A fleet of Zodiac landing craft provides access to areas where no infrastructure exists, allowing for exploration at a moment's notice.
Staterooms:
All staterooms feature two twin lower beds. A few triple staterooms are available. All staterooms feature an ocean view: lower and main deck cabins feature portholes, whereas all others have windows. Cabin amenities include:

The main dining room can hold all guests at one seating. Special dietary requests (with the exception of kosher meals) can be fullfiled with advance notice. A buffet lunch is available in the main lounge, and a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the dining room.
A small gift shop carries a limited supply of necessities as well as ship gift items and arts/crafts of the regions visited. A gym and small library with books and games are available for public use. There's also a Club bar and lounge on the Upper Deck.
The vessel is equipped with state-of-the-art satellite navigation and communication equipment including telephone, fax, and e-mail.
The Captain and his officers maintain an open bridge to give passengers an opportunity to observe and ask questions. An experienced cruise staff, physician, and on board lecturers accompany all voyages to enhance the passengers’ enjoyment of the places visited.
