The beautiful Caledonian Sky is a spacious yet intimate expedition vessel. Refurbished in 2012 and carrying just 100 passengers, her beautifully designed public spaces include a single seating dining room, a large lounge with piano, elegant bar, enclosed panoramic viewing deck, library, and gym. Designed to sail the South Pacific and the wilds of Alaska, the Caledonian Sky is an ideal vessel for expedition sailing.
Accomodations
Each of the Caledonian Sky suites feature ocean views and have two twin beds which can be reconfigured into a queen. They offer a sitting area, well-appointed en-suite bathroom, large closets, vanity table, small refrigerator, television, personal safe, hair dryer, assorted toiletries, air-conditioning and heating, and American style outlets at 110 volts.
Dining
The Caledonian Sky's dining room can accommodate all guests in one seating. Most diets can be catered for on aboard, but special dietary requests must be made in advance. Breakfast is served buffet-style and a la carte, and dinner is served in the main restaurant. When weather permits, meals may also be served on deck. Afternoon tea is served in the lounge, and coffee and tea are available 24 hours a day.
Services
Wireless internet access is available throughout the ship for an additional charge, as are laundry services (no dry cleaning), hair salon, and doctor's office. The U.K. pound is the currency used on board. Traveler's checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Expresses are accepted for payment of shipboard accounts. For excursions ashore, the Caledonian Sky carries a fleet of Zodiacs.
