Named after the largest island in Norway’s Svalbard archipelago, MS Spitsbergen offers expedition cruising at its most intimate and immersive. With a smaller capacity and enhanced manoeuvrability, this nimble ship can reach secluded landing sites few others can, making it ideal for exploring remote coasts and narrow fjords.

MS Spitsbergen offers a variety of modern and comfortable cabins, all redesigned with a sleek Nordic aesthetic that mirrors the sea’s natural color palette. The accommodations range from practical staterooms to upgraded cabins with extra amenities, each designed for relaxation after a day of exploration. Many cabins feature large windows to maximize views of Norway’s coast and polar landscapes.

Features Onboard
This expedition ship combines maneuverability and size, making it ideal for exploring closer to nature along the Norwegian coast and in polar waters. Following a complete reconstruction, the vessel now boasts elegant and environmentally friendly design enhancements to reduce emissions and fuel consumption.
Guests can enjoy a wide range of onboard facilities, including the Explorer Lounge with panoramic views, Explorer Bar, and Brygga Bistro, along with Torget, the main dining restaurant. Additional amenities include a sauna, fitness room, hot tub, guest launderette, and Compass Service Center. Outdoor spaces include panoramic Deck 8 and event spaces on Decks 7 and 8.
The ship also features a shop, Wi-Fi access, and an elevator for easy access across decks. An expert Expedition Team accompanies each voyage, hosting lectures, activities, and excursions to deepen the guest experience.
