This day tour from Cuenca takes you west to Cajas National Park. Over 200 gorgeous lakes are scattered amongst the jagged rocks and craggy valleys that make up the breathtaking landscape of this often wet and foggy park. Set early this morning heading west. An hour drive brings you to Tres Cruces, located on the Continental Divide, for stunning views. Next, transfer to Laguna Toreadora. This beautiful lagoon is the starting point for your morning hike. You will head to the San Luis Polylepis forest and continue to Lagunas Unidas and Patoquinuas before returning to La Toreadora. This hike takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete at an elevation around 12,795 feet. Enjoy lunch at Hosteria Dos Chorrera (beverages not included) and then visit Llaviucu, another beautiful area of the park for a nice hike that lasts about an hour. Return to the hotel around 4:00 PM.
This tour is approximately 5 hours and runs daily.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
