A crafter’s dream tour! Your journey begins with a visit to the charming little town of San Bartolome. Here you will have the chance to visit a typical local house and see its gardens full of medicinal plants. Stop by the church and main park before continuing on to Chordeleg. Spend time wandering the craft markets of Chordeleg that are famous for silver, wood, gold and ceramics. Your next stop is the crafter’s town of Gualaceo where you will visit more local markets. Enjoy lunch at a small country house and then finish your tour with a visit to a craft workshop where the famous “Macanas” or shawls are made. These skilled weavers will teach you about their craft while demonstrating their work. Return to Cuenca in the evening.
