Welcome to Basel, where your ship awaits for boarding! Ensure your flights to Zürich or Basel arrive by 3 PM, as all guests must be on board by 5 PM. After settling in, enjoy dinner and explore the ship on your first evening.
Begin the day at the Adventure Center, where your Adventure Host outlines the choices for today. You can take an active option with a relaxed bike ride along the Rhine, join a discovery option with a full-day guided tour of the Black Forest to see the Vogtsbauernhof open-air museum, an authentic water mill, and a butter-making demonstration, or choose the classic option with a guided tour of Freiburg’s medieval city center, located near vineyards and gardens at the edge of the Black Forest. There is also an optional morning visit to Colmar, a small village known for its half-timbered houses and medieval architecture.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
