Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
You'll cruise all the way to the European institutions. You'll sail past the beautiful Parc de l'Orangerie which was created by André Le Nôtre, the landscape architect who designed the park of the Palace of Versailles. You'll depart by coach with our hostess towards Sélestat. You'll stop at the Maison du Pain d'Alsace (House of Bread) and discover the many culinary traditions of the region, including a tasting of the famous "bredeles”, small typical biscuits that are baked during Christmas time. You'll continue your trip towards Eguisheim, listed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France” and which the French designated as their favorite village in 2013. Eguisheim has remained true to the authenticity of Christmas traditions. You'll be delighted by its Christmas Market located at the heart of the medieval village and which exhibits the works of many local craftsmen. You'll enjoy lunch along the Wine Route. This afternoon head to Obernai, a city which has kept all of the charms from its Rhineland Renaissance era. The town is particularly lively at this time of year. Return on board and remain in port overnight, a few hundred meters from the European Parliament.
You'll cruise to the historic center of the city. Set out on foot for the Hospices de Strasbourg which house secret wine cellars. Wines gifted by patients to account for their medical care used to be kept there. Today, about twenty winemakers keep their most prestigious wines to age in the reputed cellars of the Hospices. The latter also house the oldest wine barrel dating from 1472. Your visit of the cellars will be followed by a tasting of some of the wines*. You'll return on board after your tour and enjoy lunch as you sail along an arm of the Ill River towards the Ponts Couverts. The ship will be moored just a stone's throw away from the famous Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Strasbourg, providing quick and easy access on foot to the picturesque areas of the city. You'll set out on foot for a guided tour of the Alsatian capital that will take you through the beautifully preserved district of the Petite France and past the cathedral. Enjoy time at leisure in a magical atmosphere on the numerous Christmas Markets located in several squares across the city. Tonight's the gala evening and dinner.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! Thanks Jamie- you are amazing!!!!

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
