Spend an afternoon shopping at one of the Christmas Market of the city
Enjoy the tour of the covered arcades and around Palais-Royal
Explore Paris and visit rue de la Paix, Place Vendôme and the large stores
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Passengers are welcome to board MS Raymonde at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, you will be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail before dinner. The ship will be docked in the center of the city.
Spend this morning cruising along the Canal Saint Martin towards the Quai de Grenelle. The Canal Saint Martin area has kept all the charm and romanticism from its former working-class-neighborhood days. Here, the elegant footbridges, the nine locks, and bustling quays bring back the atmosphere of the "Paris of Yesteryear”, with a shabby-chic retro charm that is very fashionable at the moment. Afterward, you will be taken on an original walk through the prettiest covered arcades in Paris. At this time of year, the arcades are wonderfully illuminated as they shelter the colorful Christmas decorations adorning the facades of some of the most luxurious boutiques in the city. You will walk through time and history as you discover the area around Palais Royal, the Louvre and the Comédie Française. Return on board and set out for a cruise through beautifully illuminated Paris by night.
Discover Prestigious Paris from the Place Vendôme and its jewelry stores famous the world over, to the fashionable shopping street, Rue de la Paix. Prepare to be blown away by the surrounding beauty! Walk past the Opéra Garnier to reach the emblematic Haussmann Boulevard where you can enjoy time at leisure to marvel at the legendary stores. This afternoon, you'll be transferred by coach to one of the Christmas Markets of the city. Return on board tonight for our gala dinner and evening.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
