Day 1 Paris | Embark

Passengers are welcome to board the ship at 6 p.m. Enjoy dinner follows by an on board cabaret show.

Day 2 Paris | Ile de la Cité | Saint Germain des Prés

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Leave on a guided tour through the heart of Paris: the Ile de la Cité. Once known as Lutetia, it is the oldest settlement in Paris and boasts more than its fair share of Paris sights—the most famous being Notre Dame Cathedral. Visit the distinguished, time-worn cathedral and discover its history, architecture, and secrets. The island is also home to other splendid Parisian monuments such as the Conciergerie, the Sainte-Chapelle, and the Palais de Justice. Be captivated by the history found on its banks and across its bridges.

This afternoon, join a guided tour of Saint Germain-des-Prés, one of the cradles of Parisian culture. Take your time in the small bookstores, boutiques, and art galleries. Indulge in the best that France has to offer at the most exquisite pastry, chocolate, and wine shops! A special treat during this tour is a tasting of chocolates and macarons in one of the most-celebrated shops in the neighborhood. Stroll through the Grande Epicerie, an impressive showcase that feeds both your eyes and appetite. It’s a food-lover’s paradise!

After the tour, the ship cruises to the impressive futuristic business district of La Defense (depending on water level). Return to the mooring and remain in port overnight.

Day 3 Paris | Rungis | Père Lachaise Cemetery OR the Panthéon

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Optional tour (must be reserved before your departure): Leave at dawn by coach for a guided tour of the world-renowned Rungis produce market. This is where all fine French cuisine begins: at the largest fresh produce market in the world. The market is broken down into five sub-markets: fish, meat, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and flowers. To round out the visit, sit down to a delicious brunch.

OR take some free time this morning to explore the French capital at your own pace. The ship is just a few minutes from some of the must-see sights in Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, Trocadéro Gardens, and Les Invalides.

The afternoon is a dedicated guided tour of Père Lachaise Cemetery, one of the most famous resting places in the world. It might seem a bit of a macabre way to spend an afternoon, but because there are so many famous tombs, and such artistry to the graves, it becomes something like a visit to a museum.

OR

Leave for a guided visit of the Panthéon. The Panthéon’s iconic silhouette and dome is perched at the top of the historic Latin Quarter. Designer Jacques-Germain Soufflot began work on the church in 1757. Since the days of the French Revolution, it has been the necropolis of many well-known French figures, including Victor Hugo, Marie Curie, and Alexandre Dumas.

Tonight is a festive gala evening, including a “Paris by Night” cruise to take in the city lights.

Day 4 Paris | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
