Explore the Marne-Rhine Canal, also known as the Greenway, as it crosses the plain of Alsace and the Vosges. Linking Strasbourg and Saverne at the entryway to Alsace at the foot of the Vosges Mountains, the canal continues through a grand forest to Lutzelbourg in the Moselle region. On your 7-day cruise, view the spectacular architecture and structural works of this beautiful corner of France. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind Saint-Louis-Arzviller inclined plane (the only one in Europe), where boats are hoisted along the cliff before reaching Xouaxange, a small town in the Moselle. The MS Madeleine barge brings you to explore these charming cities and waterways as you cruise from Strasbourg to Lagarde with a motorcoach that returns you to Strasbourg on the last day.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
