Spend the morning exploring the treasures of Lake Como. Board a private “Venetian style” wooden motorboat for a picturesque ride across Lake Como with a local guide. Behold a panorama of colorful waterside villages and elegant estates, fringed by palms and pines and backed by soaring mountains. Enjoy a luxury picnic lunch on a secluded private island (optional), and continue to Villa del Balbianello, an elegant and romantic estate built back in the XVIII Century on a peninsula. Return to your hotel by private boat.
After breakfast, take a leisurely guided half-day bicycle ride to the northern side of Lake Como. Upon arrival in Colico, visit the Cistercian Santa Maria di Piona Abbey, a masterpiece of Lombard architecture. Built-in the 12th century, it represents the first source attesting to a monastic community in the region. After the visit, enjoy the panoramic views at a local farmhouse. Return to your hotel by private car.
After breakfast, take your private transfer to Milan. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and start to explore the city of Milan with a guided tour. Consider it a symbol of the modern Renaissance in Italy, stroll through its vibrant streets and immerse yourself in its magnetic and lively atmosphere. The Cathedral and the famous La Scala Theatre are probably the finest examples of Gothic art in Italy. Wander around the chic boutiques and luxury stores of the glamorous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele shopping arcade and enjoy exploring the city. Head to a famous terrace wine bar in the city's center that overlooks the cathedral for a fun pre-lunch drink. Aperitivo is one of the most cherished Italian pastimes. While this social pre-dinner drinking ritual did not originate in Milan, it is safe to say that the tradition is at its strongest here. You must not miss it at least once when you are in town.
Visit the Pinacoteca di Brera, one of the most important art galleries in the world, as it hosts some of the most prestigious collections of antique and modern paintings and sculptures by Italian artists of the twentieth century. It includes masterpieces of the caliber of the Dead Christ by Andrea Mantegna and works by Bellini, Raphael, Caravaggio, Piero Della Francesca, and Tintoretto, to name a few. Cap off your tour with a barbajada tasting—a delicious mix of chocolate, cream, and coffee typical of Milan. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
After breakfast, travel to Naples by Frecciarossa high-speed train. Upon arrival, a private transfer will take you to the Amalfi coast. On the way, stop by the UNESCO World Heritage-designated Archaeological Area of Pompeii, a city frozen in time, preserving the area in a thick layer of ash, pumice, and lapilli, and meet your guide, an expert in archaeology, for the guided visit. After the visit, head to Amalfi and settle into your accommodation.
After breakfast, meet your professional English-speaking local guide and take a guided tour of Amalfi, once one of Italy’s four great maritime republics. Embark on a walking tour of the historical center with its stunning 13th-century cathedral and cloister. Then enjoy a special visit and tasting at a traditional limoncello farm. Learn the traditional method of producing this delicious liquor from a local family. End the tour with a lemon-based local lunch with wine pairing. Take the day at leisure to relax and rest.
After breakfast, reach the public ferry boat for a 45-minute ride to Vietri Sul Mare, the "first pearl" of the Amalfi Coast. This small town offers a magnificent sea surrounded by magnificent Mediterranean vegetation and is known for its vivid and colorful ceramics. After strolling through the neighborhood's alleys, learn about the craft of ceramics by going to a nearby pottery lab.
After a leisurely lunch, transfer by private car to Cetara, a charming seaside village. Tuna and anchovies are the protagonists of the kitchen and the production of Cetara products. Learn how to make anchovy colatura, a sauce made from fermented anchovies marinated in special containers. Later this afternoon, a private transfer back to Amalfi.
Public ferry from Amalfi to Vietri Sul Mare: 45 minutes
Vietri sul Mare to Amalfi: 15 miles drive / 1 hour
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day private yacht excursion along the Amalfi coast on a private Apreamare 11 yacht (or equivalent) with a professional English-speaking skipper. Take in the striking views of the Faraglioni from the water and stop to swim at your convenience. Disembark and independently explore the coast, starting with the Old Town and its famous Piazzetta.

Good to ideal period to travel, and many people choose to visit at this time.
Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
