This 7-day hiking adventure takes you from Venice to the stunning Dolomites of Italy. Explore alpine trails, dramatic peaks, and charming mountain villages. Start your trip in Venice and proceed to Cortina d'Ampezzo to witness the Dolomites' majestic Tre Cime di Lavaredo. From there, begin a multi-day hut-to-hut hike along a portion of the legendary Alta Via No. 1. Experience authentic mountain trekking, complete with ridge walks, steep ascents, and hut stops to meet other hikers from around the globe. Spend the night in a rifugio next to a high mountain lake after hiking through Cinque Torri, which is home to five imposing rock spires that protrude straight from the ground. Travel back to Venice, walk past Renaissance buildings, cross arched bridges, and lose yourself in hidden squares.

Welcome to Venice, Italy. Upon arrival at Venice Marco Polo Airport, meet your group at the airport before taking a group transfer to your hotel on the Venice mainland—just a short 15-minute drive away. If you are coming by train, meet your guide at the station in Venezia Mestre. After checking into the hotel and settling in, spend a relaxed evening exploring Mestre, the often-overlooked historic heart of mainland Venice. Enjoy its lively piazzas, local eateries, and authentic Venetian charm—far from the crowds but full of character.
After an early breakfast, transfer straight into the heart of the Dolomites, bound for stunning Lake Misurina. Take a scenic bus ride to the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks), where you can start your adventure with a warm-up hike surrounded by towering limestone formations and breathtaking alpine views—a perfect introduction to the stunning natural beauty and rich wartime history of this UNESCO-listed region. To start your multi-day hike, enjoy panoramic views of Tofana, hike around the Averau Summit, savor a slice of cake atop the mountain, and capture beautiful moments at Cinque Torri. To end your day, head to Rifugio Croda da Lago, located by the picturesque Lake Federa—truly breathtaking! Here, you can relax and enjoy some drinks together.

Today offers a gentler hike—perfect for recharging. Starting just behind the mountain hut, ascend to the Ambrizzola Pass, entering one of the quieter corners of the Dolomites where only fellow hikers share the path. The sweeping views of the majestic Monte Pelmo are simply breathtaking. Make a stop at Mountain Hut Città di Fiume, nestled at the foot of the peak, for a relaxed coffee or lunch break. After soaking in the scenery, hike one final hour to your overnight stay at Mountain Hut Aquileia, where you will be greeted with pristine views of Monte Pelmo and alpine serenity.

Then, ascend the east side of the Monte Civetta range to reach Mountain Hut Coldai for an overnight stay. In the afternoon, enjoy a refreshing dip in the nearby Coldai Lake.

Today’s highlight is truly awe-inspiring—standing beneath the sheer 1,000-meter west face of Monte Civetta, an unforgettable moment of feeling small amid towering alpine grandeur. As you continue your journey around the mountain, the trail gradually descends into peaceful forested slopes on the southern side. Before making your last descent into the valley, stop by the friendly Rifugio Vazzoler, tucked away in the middle of the woods, for a well-earned rest.
After the hike, a group transfer will be waiting to take you back to the Venice mainland. Take a water taxi from there to get to the center of Venice's historic district. Spend your evening in a tranquil, less-traveled corner of the city, where you will settle into charming accommodation and soak in the quiet magic of Venice away from the crowds.
