Sanctuary Pakbeng Lodge

The lodge faces the Mekong Elephant Park, a sanctuary dedicated to elephant protection, and serves as a starting point for hilltribe trekking to Khamu villages off the main tourist route. Guest rooms are built in traditional Lao style with bamboo accents and rosewood parquet floors, arranged across two building levels overlooking the river. The lodge holds Travelife Gold Certification for sustainable tourism and maintains an on-site staff garden that supplies fresh vegetables to the kitchen and gives staff extra income. It has also replaced single-use plastics with refillable glass bottles and biodegradable packaging, and monitors its energy and water use.

Room Specifications
All 30 rooms are fitted with air conditioning, a ceiling fan, free Wi-Fi, complimentary tea and coffee, an in-room safe, and 220V outlets. Each room has a private balcony or terrace with a coffee table and deck chairs facing the Mekong River. Bathrooms are private, with hot showers. Smart TVs and minibars are provided in Suite rooms only.
