Be ready mid-morning for your hotel pick-up by your guide. Transfer to the train station to catch a train to Muang Xai (Udom Xai) district. Boarding the train for Muang Xai provides a modern transit through the northern landscape, reaching the Udom Xai district in about one hour. At the station, a driver waits in the arrival area to provide transport to Nam Kat Yorla Pa Resort. This protected rainforest region features rugged mountains, winding river valleys, and ancient history. Upon arrival, settle into the resort to rest or explore at your leisure, perhaps using your private balcony as a quiet vantage point to observe the surrounding wilderness and river.

After breakfast, meet your local guide and driver for the transfer to Tham Chom Ong Cave. Located near Oudomxay, this 16-kilometer system ranks among the longest in Laos. Entering through the major openings reveals passageways 50 meters wide and 30 meters height filled with natural stalactite and stalagmite formations. The air inside remains cool while following illuminated paths through vast chambers and past hidden underground rivers. During the walk, the guide explains the cave's geological history and its cultural significance to the Khmu people. Return to Nam Kat Yorla Pa Resort in the afternoon to rest or explore at your leisure.

This afternoon, your local guide will pick you up and transfer you to the train station for your return trip to Luang Prabang. The schedule is subject to change without notice, and tickets can only be purchased four days before departure. Your Trip Planner will assist with the scheduling once you are booked.

Upon arrival, proceed to the arrival area to meet your driver, who will transfer you to your hotel in Luang Prabang.
