Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at Chileka International Airport, your guide will welcome you and transfer you to Mkulumadzi, situated right within Majete Wildlife Reserve, one of the outstanding success stories of African conservation. Mkulumadzi Lodge will be your home for three nights during your trip.
Surrounded by 7,000 hectares of private concession, Mkulumadzi enjoys an idyllic location at the confluence of two rivers, shaded by giant leadwood trees. It is the perfect combination of splendid isolation and first-class facilities. Undiscovered by tourists, Majete is a true wilderness where every trip into the bush with a team of experienced guides will feel like an adventure.
Today you will rise and go on your last activity in Majete Wildlife Reserve before being jetted off to the stunning Satemwa Tea Estates. You will spend the following two nights at the magnificent Huntingdon House.
Go for guided walks around the estates, play croquet on the lawn, take a tour of the coffee factory, and do some tea tasting. Do not forget to take a trip up to the picnic spot for sundowners for a bird's-eye view of the estate and far beyond.
You can even take a day trip to Mount Mulanje and do some hiking before returning to the house to enjoy a home-cooked meal and a tea- or coffee-related cocktail by the fire in the drawing room.
Today you will travel to the Shire River, where you will be greeted by the Kuthengo Camp staff, who will take you by boat to your home for the next three nights.
You will settle into your room on arrival and rest. That afternoon, you will be taken on your first game drive to explore the wildlife of Liwonde National Park. After your activity, you will be brought back to the camp in time to freshen up before enjoying an al fresco dinner and campfire stories.
The next morning, get up bright and early for your morning activity! Game drives, walking safaris, and boat safaris are all options! Go bird-watching on your private deck before lunch or jump in the pool after your activities. After lunch, why not have a siesta or read a book by the pool before your evening activity? A game drive, dinner, and a good night’s sleep lay ahead.
After breakfast, travel by boat back to the mainland to meet your guide. Your guide will transfer you to Lilongwe International Airport to catch your flight to Likoma Airport, meet and greet you, and transfer you to Kaya Mawa Lodge. You will stay here for the last four nights of your tour.

Good to ideal period to travel, and many people choose to visit at this time.
Chance for unpredictable weather but with fewer visitors.
This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

The holiday of a lifetime. The company is Alaksa-owned and thhat makes a big difference to the experineces you get i.e. meet genuine First Nations tribes people. The amount of wildlife was beyond my expectation, and seeing everything on sucha small, intimate boat made it even more spoecial and unique.

It was an outstanding, up-close, educational vacation of nature, culture, history, animals and geology! It was everything they promised! Binoculars were plentiful on the boat, but I'm glad I brought my own. Food was excellent. Rooms had black-out shades. Pack/wear multiple layers of clothing (I carried a small backpack when off the ship). Crew were delightful and very accommodating! Remember to jump FEET FIRST first when taking the optional polar plunge! Spend as much time outdoors as you are able and ENJOY!!!

Excellent travel advice and service
This is my second experience working with Adventure Life. I’m sold. Jess Heuermann is an experienced traveler and provides a lot of useful information when planning a trip. These are the questions I like to ask at the outset - What’s it like to go here, there, what would you suggest, what do people report, can we add any additional side trips? Jess took the time to answer my questions and seek additional information to share with me. Petchie Colina is outstanding in helping with travel logistics and final preparations. Adventure Life has excellent guides and offers private guides and small group adventures. We enjoyed the opportunity to talk with the guides and drivers to learn more about their countries, cultures and histories. A highlight was having the guides pick local restaurants where we could share meals together. Highly recommend.

Our six-day tour in Iceland went smoothly with one exception. We had asked for two rooms each night. Somehow we were booked with one room with three beds. It could not be fixed at the first hotel in Reykjavik because the hotel was fully booked. Once informed of the problem, however, Adventure Life rebooked for two rooms for the remainder of the trip. As an 85-year-old traveler, I appreciated that one could participate at different physical levels at many of the stops. Iceland is a great place to visit but on the expensive side.
