FAQs
Air-Conditioning: All cabanas are air-conditioned, but guests can decide if they need it. The lodge has observed that many of its guests prefer open windows to enjoy the nighttime noises of the jungle and the natural cooling provided by a thatch-roofed cabana. They have structured their generators, electrical system, and rates to offer air-conditioning as an optional feature that can be added at the lodge or during the adventure booking process.
Internet Access: Complimentary & available throughout the lodge – access for children can be controlled.
Cellphone Roaming: Most phones and portable devices will work at the lodge if you have activated ‘international roaming’ – reception is very good.
Television: Limited to Honeymoon Cabana which has a king bed, double shower & a Netflix-capable Smart-TV.
Private and Remote: The lodge is private and caters exclusively to its in-house guests – our closest neighboring hotel is over 30 miles away.
No Day Trips Needed: Day trips are where you load the family into a van for what is often a lengthy drive to and back from an attraction – this is a costly & time-wasting process. At Lamanai, all your adventures happen within minutes of your cabana and will be planned to where they are almost always crowd-free & private.
Meals and Dietary Requirements: Guests will find their meals to be tasty, freshly prepared, and plentiful. The lodge can accommodate special dietary needs, such as vegetarian, gluten-free, no peanuts, pescatarian, vegan, or Kosher, at no additional cost with advance notice. All meals include purified water, juice or squash, coffee, and tea.
Mobility Issues: Know that we are situated on a hillside where you will encounter a gradient & steps when moving around the lodge.
Drinking Water: Complimentary bottled water is carried in our boats & vehicles and is always available at the lodge. Purified water is used to prepare our meals, it is also used to make ice & is served with all meals. It is readily available in the dining room to refill your water bottles.
Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!

I don’t have the words to describe it but the last week has been one of the best I can remember. 6 days of adventure in South East Alaska including trekking through lush rain forest, sitting in silence listening to glaciers calving, up early to see the northern lights, kayaking and stupidly swimming in iceberg frozen waters ! (That actually hurt).
Animal sightings including black and brown bears, Minke and hundreds of Humpack Whales, porpoises, sea lions, mountain goats, harbour seals, bald eagles, salmon and more birds than I can count. Wonderful friends and connections made. A huge shout out to Trevor and his totally amazing crew on the Admiralty Dream whose energy and enthusiasm made this most incredible experience.

Excellent safari trip with Adventure Life and Albatross Travel. Special shout out to our guides Eric Turasha (Kenya), and Blasi Shirima (Tanzania) from Albatross Travel. Both were world class!!! The trip went off without a hitch; all the camps were amazing…worth mentioning...one of the camps we were going to stay in on the Tanzanian side was damaged by high winds so we ended up in a different camp (Mara under Canvas Camp). Can't say enough good things! A great experience and superb service!!

My tour operator was helpful. Unfortunately she was unable to get my single-supplement canceled. Not too many tours charge for that anymore and I almost canceled my trip because of that.
