Lemosho Forest Camp (Big Tree Camp)

Lemosho Forest Camp is the first overnight stop on the Lemosho Route of Mount Kilimanjaro. Set in the lush rainforest of Kilimanjaro National Park, the camp offers a quiet, natural start to the climb with basic camping tents and shared dining areas. It provides an authentic trekking experience for those ascending the mountain.

Tents
Accommodation consists of standard camping tents for two, with sleeping mats and space for gear. There is no air conditioning or fans, and bathrooms are shared camp toilets. The rugged terrain means there are no formal ADA-accessible features.

Amenities
The camp includes a dining tent, camp toilets, and hand-wash stations. Guides and porters handle tent setup, meal service, and site maintenance. There is no electricity or internet; lighting is by lantern.
