Upon arrival at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, representatives from American Cruise Lines greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Tacoma.
In the afternoon, attend a Welcome Reception at the hotel to meet fellow travelers, enjoy refreshments, and receive an overview of the week ahead in the Puget Sound region.

In the evening, travel to a local restaurant for a Welcome Dinner featuring Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisine.

After breakfast at the hotel, travel to Mount Rainier National Park, home to Mount Rainier, the highest peak in the Cascade Range and one of the most prominent volcanoes in the contiguous United States.

With local expert guides, explore the Longmire Historic District, part of the park’s natural and cultural heritage. Hike through old-growth forests, visit the Longmire Museum, and see historic buildings connected to the park’s early history.

Continue to Paradise on the southern slope of Mount Rainier at about 5,400 feet. View the mountain’s glaciers and surrounding valleys, then visit Paradise Inn and the Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center to see exhibits about the area. Stop for lunch during the day.

Take a short walk to Myrtle Falls, a waterfall with views of Mount Rainier. Continue to other park viewpoints, including Inspiration Point, Reflection Lake, and Narada Falls, a two-tiered waterfall surrounded by forest.

Return to Tacoma in the evening for dinner on the waterfront with views of the harbor and Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisine.

Board your comfortable motorcoach for a ride to the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, a peaceful sanctuary for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts alike. Along the boardwalks and trails is where you may spot migratory birds, native wildlife, and expansive views of this Puget Sound-fed estuary landscape.
Continue to a local Indigenous community, where you experience a deeply enriching cultural experience. Through shared stories and traditions, gain a meaningful understanding of the people who have called this region home for generations. In the afternoon, travel to the historic town of Elbe to board the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad. Relax as the vintage train winds through lush forests and past grand mountains, bringing to life the area’s logging and railroading legacy in the greater Mount Rainier region.

The day ends with dinner at a local favorite known for craft ciders and delicious, Pacific Northwest cuisine.

Discover the natural beauty and rich history of Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls. Guests enjoy a guided nature walk led by a local historian and the visit also includes a program at the fish hatchery, where you'll gain insight into the salmon life cycle and local conservation efforts. If you're visiting in the fall, you may even witness the spectacular annual salmon run as thousands of salmon return upstream to spawn.

Lunch in Olympia features a taste of the town’s dynamic culinary scene before continuing your route north. As the drive unfolds, pause at a scenic spot nestled along Hood Canal, where you can take in the sweeping waterfront views and stretch your legs. 

Arriving in Port Angeles, the gateway to Olympic National Park, check into your hotel. Cap off your day with a cozy dinner at a popular bistro, where local ingredients and mountain-lodge charm set the tone for the adventure ahead.

Start the day with breakfast before heading to Olympic National Park with your Adventure Guides. This uniquely diverse destination features lush temperate rainforests, Pacific coastline, and snow-capped mountains all in one place.

Your first scenic view is Lake Crescent, a glacier-carved, crystal-clear lake surrounded by soaring evergreens. Enjoy picturesque views of this stunning landscape as you continue toward the glacier.

Continue west to the small town of Forks, a charming and remote outpost that offers a glimpse into the quiet life on the Olympic Peninsula. Explore the magical Hoh Rainforest, one of the few remaining temperate rainforests in the world. Have the opportunity to hike the Hall of the Mosses before enjoying a picnic lunch in the Hoh Rainforest. Then, continue to Salt Creek Recreation Area, a scenic coastal park known for its rugged shoreline, dramatic sea cliffs, sweeping views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and natural beauty.

As the afternoon winds down, return to Port Angeles and relax before enjoying dinner at a local favorite offering fresh seafood, regional cuisine, and a cozy atmosphere.

Begin your day in the historic seaport of Port Townsend, known for its Victorian architecture and vibrant arts scene. Stop for a leisurely lunch, where local flavors are served with beautiful views of the waterfront.

Board the Washington State Ferry for a scenic crossing to Whidbey Island before continuing to Deception Pass State Park, featuring towering cliffs, forested trails, and the iconic Deception Pass Bridge connecting Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands. As you drive over the high bridge, view the coastline and the swirling waters below.

Visit the charming town of Burlington, known as the gateway to the North Cascades, offering easy access to some of Washington's most spectacular mountain scenery and outdoor recreation.

On your final day, take a scenic drive to North Cascades National Park. Often called the “American Alps,” it features 300 glaciers, more than any other U.S. park outside Alaska. The park’s alpine lakes, cascading waterfalls, and dense evergreen forests create stunning scenery at every turn.

As you enter the park, stop at the North Cascades Visitor Center, where exhibits and rangers provide insight into the beauty and ecological significance of this wild mountain range.  

From here, choose your adventure with two beautiful hikes: The Trail of the Cedars, which is a moderate trail that winds through towering old-growth forest, or The Ladder Creek Falls Trail, a more difficult short walk to cascading waterfalls and lush moss-covered surroundings.

Next, pause to admire Gorge Creek Falls, before continuing to one of the park’s crown jewels, Diablo Lake, surrounded by glacier-carved peaks and surreal turquoise waters. After, stop to admire jaw-dropping views of Liberty Bell Mountain and the surrounding wilderness, the perfect finale to your North Cascades experience.
