Travel north of Mai Chau to explore quiet villages, forest trails, and scenic waters. Begin with a drive to Suoi Lon village, followed by a short hike through rolling terrain to reach Go Lao Waterfall—a remote site where you can relax or swim. Continue to Hoa Binh Lake for a one-hour boat ride, passing floating fishing farms and watching daily life unfold along the shoreline.

Travel to the northern highlands of Mai Chau to visit the weekly Pa Co Market, a key gathering place for H’mong communities. Held every Sunday morning, the market draws villagers from surrounding areas who come to trade handmade textiles, local produce, and livestock. After exploring the market, take a short hike through Pa Co village, where H’mong families live among terraced fields and plum orchards

Full Day Pu Luong Nature Reserve

Spend a full day exploring Pu Luong Nature Reserve, a 17,500-hectare protected area known for its terraced rice fields, limestone peaks, and forested valleys. Begin with a drive to Don village, home to traditional Black Thai stilt houses. From here, start a guided trek through farmland, bamboo water wheels, and karst landscapes. Stop in Nua village for a local lunch in a quiet stilt house, before continuing the trek through open scenery and rural trails.
