You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel for the journey to Cuc Phuong National Park. The drive to the park, which lies 120 km southwest of Hanoi, takes approximately 2.5 hours. Opened in 1960, it is the oldest nature reserve in Vietnam – a pristine biodiversity that makes for a refreshing break from the city. Your trip will begin with a visit to the park’s Endangered Primate Rescue Centre, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates and the protection of their habitats. You will then venture deeper into the park to a cave where paintings of ancient man were discovered. This will be followed by lunch at a house on stilts. Following lunch you will take a short trek through the park to learn more about is flora and fauna. It’s then on to the Park Center to learn about the ‘Cave of Early Man’, before transferring back to your hotel in Hanoi.
