Day 1: Arrive in Anchorage

Upon arrival at the Anchorage airport and transportation to the hotel, guests will have the opportunity to meet their guide and fellow travelers at an evening wine and cheese reception. The overnight stay will be at Hilton Anchorage (or a similar hotel)

Day 2: Talkeetna Mountains

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Travel in a deluxe dome railcar to Talkeetna, while the guide narrates sights and points of interest along the way. Guests will have a break for lunch and exploring at this 'Denali adventure hub,' followed by a guided, meandering hike on the Talkeetna Lakes trail—the perfect introduction to the northern Alaskan forest. Later, guests can check into the lodge. A local naturalist meets the group after dinner for a presentation on tomorrow’s activities as well as the region’s natural history—flora, geology, fauna. The overnight stay will be at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge (or a similar lodge)

Day 3: Talkeetna Mountains

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Dinner
Expert backcountry hiking and kayak guides lead a day of adventure. Denali State Park trails uncover the plants, birds, and animals of these mountains. Guests have two options today: tighten hiking boots and embark on a steady climb as far as 1,500 feet with staggering views of Mt. Denali and the Alaska Range when the clouds part, or soak in the scenery on a lower elevation nature walk. After an included lunch, gear is provided for a kayak excursion on Byers Lake with local residents (trumpeter swans, loons, beavers). Eyes should be kept peeled. Dinner can be enjoyed in the charming recreation hub of Talkeetna or at the hotel. The overnight stay will be at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge (or a similar lodge).

Day 4: Denali National Park

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Delve further into the Alaskan Range aboard a deluxe dome railcar for an eye-popping view on the way to Denali National Park. Optional tours for purchase include river rafting and flightseeing, or guests can take advantage of no-cost options like hikes and interpretive programs at the park headquarters. The overnight stay will be at Denali Bluffs (or a similar lodge).

Day 5: Denali National Park

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
All Denali, all day long. The first half of the day will be a Tundra Wilderness Tour excursion into the heart of the park. After lunch, a narrated tour with a certified driver-naturalist delves deep into Denali’s history while staying on the lookout for hawks, wolves, moose, bear, and Dall sheep. Guests can relax from a big day with an overnight at Denali Bluffs (or a similar lodge).

Day 6: Anchorage

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
The morning motor coach ride is bound for Anchorage. There's a special stop for lunch and a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Native traditions and legends about Alaska’s Native tribes are discovered through presentations, exhibits, and demonstrations. After the cultural exploration, it’s a short ride into the city to check in and freshen up before the final dinner with travel mates. The overnight stay will be at Hilton Anchorage (or a similar hotel)

Day 7: Depart Anchorage

  • 1 Breakfast
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight* to join the UnCruise adventure.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
