Day 1: Anchorage | Knik River Lodge

Travel from Ancorage to Knik River Lodge, located just 50 miles outside of the city in the Chugach Mountains. Stay in one of the 22 cozy cabins and settle in to your stunning surroundings. The area is home to an array of wildlife just outside your cabin door. Moose are spotted on almost a daily basis, and other common visitors include dall sheep, wolf, lynx, wolverine, and brown and black bear. Settle into your comfortable and cozy cabin, equipped with all the creature comforts you could ask for:  a propane fireplace, private bathroom, luxurious bedding, kitchenette with fridge, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker.

Day 2: Adventures at Knik River

Spend this day exploring the area how you prefer. Knik River Lodge offers a variety of optional excursions that you can add to your stay to make the most of your experience. Opt to go on guided hikes, bike adventures, or kayak the iceberg waters of Lake George. Try a summer dogsled tour or hop on a helicopter for a glacier landing in the nearby mountains. Choose from an array of activities and book them in advance to ensure your adventure is set. Fly-fishing, rafting, and skiing activities can also be arranged on a seasonal basis.

For the more adventurous, you can opt to take part in an overnight camping adventure out in the Alaskan wilderness. Kayak on a glacial lake before bedding down on its banks for the night, or go on an overnight dogsled tour.

Add on an additional night at the Knik River Lodge if you'd like to take part in another full day of adventure!

Day 3: Return Anchorage

Transfer back to Anchorage for the next step in your journey or to the airport for your return flight home.

The trip was terrific with great planning on your part. Most of the adventures were not mainstream and somewhat off the beaten path which made it especially enjoyable!! We felt taken care of and you all were readily available to respond to questions and issues. I would highly recommend your company and friends have already expressed interest based on our pictures and excitement.
