Spend your morning exploring Ushuaia or unwinding at the resort until your mid-afternoon transfer to the ship. Your Expedition Team and ship staff greets you on board, followed by a safety and orientation briefing and Captain’s welcome dinner.
Join your Polar Experts as they teach you about everything Antarctic, from wildlife to history; participate in the renowned Citizen Science program; or sit back and take in this fabled journey while catching exciting glimpses of wildlife. Grab your binoculars to identify the many seabirds that follow the ship as you cross the Antarctic Convergence into Antarctic waters and noticeably cooler temperatures.

For those engaged in the Citizen Science program, the work of understanding this fragile environment continues. Be sure to keep your camera handy, as penguins, seals and whale sightings are all part of this incredible experience. And a passing iceberg, its magical blue light seeming to glow from within, is something you’ll want to share with friends back home.
As you leave this magical place and make your way north, heading again across the Antarctic Convergence and the Drake Passage, continue your presentation series and wildlife spotting.
