Start the journey to the Arctic in Amsterdam where you’ll be warmly greeted on board Scenic Eclipse. Meet the captain, crew and the Discovery Team before setting sail for the adventure.
Norway’s magnificent second-largest city is set on a beautiful convergence of fjords and surrounded by mountains. Explore Bergen’s historic city quarters, taking in the traditional and colorful clapboard houses.
Freechoice: Discover the city’s fascinating quarters and walk across the Bryggen old timber wharf, or ride the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen for stunning views. Alternatively, choose to visit the Fantoft Stave Church.
Sail along Sognefjord – the largest fjord in Norway. At its deepest, Sognefjord plunges more than 1,300 meters while the spectacular mountains rise on either side. You’ll pass through the village of Vikøyri before making your way to the village of Flåm in the heart of the fjord.
Freechoice: Ride the world-famous Flåm Railway for a day of stunning scenery. Alternatively, explore an authentic Viking Village.
Straddling several islands, Ålesund houses a unique concentration of Art Nouveau architecture set to the stunning backdrop of the Norwegian Fjords.
Today choose one of the Freechoice activities or join a more active Discovery excursion.
Freechoice: Explore the communities of Giske and Godoya islands. Alternatively, the Sunnmøre open-air museum will introduce you to the traditions of the region.
Discovery: Choose between a bicycle ride or a hiking tour.
Cruise towards the granite mountain of Torghatten. One of Norway’s best-known mountain formations, it’s distinctive for the hole going right through it – the subject of Nordland legend and fairy tales.
Discovery: Set out on an excursion by Zodiac, or, if the weather is permitting, explore by kayak.
Arrive in Lofoten where great, craggy islands touch the sky, picturesque villages dot the archipelago and wildlife abounds. Delve into Viking history at the Lofotr Viking Museum before sailing the impressive Trollfjord.
Known as the cultural hub of the Arctic, Tromsø sits just above the Arctic Circle in the lands of the Midnight Sun.
Freechoice: Experience Tromsø’s best view from the top the cable car, or choose to see what is below the seas of Norway with a visit to Polaria, an Arctic aquarium with knowledge-based exhibits and a panoramic cinema. Alternatively, join a local for a guided walk of this historic cultural mecca.
Enrich: As the candlelights flicker, the elegant Arctic Cathedral is filled with the sounds of the most beautiful Norwegian folk songs, as well as some wonderfully powerful classical and sacred selections.
South of Svalbard and en-route from Norway is the rarely visited Bear Island. A protected nature reserve, it’s home to dramatic cliffs, huge seabird colonies and a unique collection of fauna and flora. The Svalbard Archipelago’s rugged glaciers and frozen tundras are a fragile and remote area of vast environmental significance, with Spitsbergen the largest island. Due to the extraordinary nature of the region, the sailing and discovery schedule is flexible. The experienced Captain and Discovery Leader will use their expertise to design this section of your voyage from day to day, making the most of the long hours of daylight, weather and ice conditions to give you the best experience possible in this extraordinary part of the world.
Discovery: You will partake in Zodiac and kayak excursions and nature walks by foot. Discover majestic Arctic scenery, tundra landscapes, wildlife and marine life, taking you to the place of your wildest dreams.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
