• Addressing CO₂ Emissions – Scenic Cruises is committed to designing and operating ships in a more efficient and sustainable way to reduce the environmental impact of fuel consumption. The company partners with Ecollective, an independent third-party organization, to calculate the average carbon footprint of guests and help establish achievable emissions reduction targets.

The company follows sustainable procurement guidelines to support local communities, reduce the environmental impact of food storage and transportation, and ensure staff and stakeholders follow responsible sourcing practices.
• Reducing Waste – Scenic Cruises continually develops new ways to reduce waste and has worked extensively to eliminate single-use plastics onboard. Today, the fleet is more than 95% single-use guest plastic free, preventing the use of more than 2 million plastic bottles.

Equipped with advanced technology and operated according to industry best practices, the vessels minimize environmental impact while delivering exceptional expedition experiences. Certified to Polar Class 6, Scenic Eclipse Discovery Yachts are built to the highest standards for operating responsibly in polar waters.

Scenic Cruises also publishes an Impact Report outlining the Scenic Group's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments and responsible tourism initiatives. The report highlights environmental innovation, social responsibility, and ongoing progress under the Cherish the Planet program in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
