Travel across the Patagonian steppe on a paved road along the southern shore of Lake Argentino to reach Los Glaciares National Park. Along the way, observe Andean Patagonian forest and stop at a scenic viewpoint for a first look at the Andes Mountains, the Rico Arm of the lake, and the Perito Moreno Glacier. Upon arrival, explore 4,000 meters of balconies and walkways positioned at different levels for unique views of the glacier. A bilingual guide provides key information during the visit, and park rangers are present to protect the site. Spend two to three hours observing the glacier’s movement and dramatic ice calving. This full-day excursion includes shared transfers, a box lunch, entrance fees to the park, and expert guidance. Ideal for those seeking a close-up view of one of Argentina’s top natural attractions.

Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Today visit the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the largest advancing glaciers in South America (more than 3 miles wide at its front and over 20 stories high). Depart from El Calafate early in the morning, allowing you to enjoy the landscape, the nature and the fauna, before the park becomes busy. Explore the footbridges and balconies, approximately 1,700 meters of walkways that expand near the face of the glacier. Listen for the great masses of ice crash into the lake with resounding roars. Your pooled tour guide will share with you information about the surrounding forest, glaciation in the area, and about the birdlife. Take a ferry trip in the Canal de los Tempanos on the north face of the Perito Moreno Glacier passing beside icebergs, which have calved off the front of the Perito Moreno Glacier. The boat will stop at a safe distance from the glacier, continuing to sail down its entire front, allowing spectacular view of the high wall of ice. This provides a totally different perspective of the Perito Moreno Glacier, with almost constant falling walls of ice from its front. Unique opportunity for photographers and nature lovers alike.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
