Glide silently among the cayes and coral reef while sea kayaking Belize's crystal Caribbean waters. Snorkel with blue parrot fish, neon blowfish, six foot eagle rays and harmless nurse sharks, and study delicate purple plume coral, brain coral and sea fans. Each night we return to our mainland hotel located right on the edge of the Caribbean waters. Most of all, enjoy the relaxed rhythm of this Caribbean escape - you’re sure to come to back to Belize again and again.
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Arrive Belize City and take a connecting flight to Placencia. We’ll meet you at Placencia’s little airport to take you to your beachfront hotel to begin your Belize vacation. Enjoy your first taste of seafood at our welcome dinner, and spend some time exploring this charming seaside town. Overnight.
The second largest coral reef in the world lies a short distance from the Belize mainland. The reef is alive with hundreds of species of fish, corals, and sponges, and over 200 sandy islands rise above this natural wonder. You will spend 4 days exploring a half dozen of these tiny islands by kayak.
Each days paddling will take you to a different island, coral reef or marine habitat, where you will enjoy snorkeling amongst colorful corals and tropical fish. Each of these islands has its unique character and a little something different to offer. The inner cayes, sometimes referred to as The Range, offers not only snorkeling along coral patch reefs, but mangrove snorkeling as well. Because these islands are less trafficked by tourists, there is an abundance of marine life. Silk Cayes, sometimes called Queen Cayes, which lies directly on the Belize Barrier Reef, may be the most beautiful islands in all of Belize. The white sand beaches and breezy palm trees of Silk Cayes create an idyllic Caribbean escape. In addition to these spectacular islands, we have the opportunity to paddle in the unique habitat of the Placencia Lagoon - a nursery for reef fish and home to the manatee.
With dozens of islands within easy paddling distance, the exact cayes we visit can vary depending on local conditions. Our guides are expert naturalists and they know the very best places to snorkel and kayak depending on the season.

The holiday of a lifetime. The company is Alaksa-owned and thhat makes a big difference to the experineces you get i.e. meet genuine First Nations tribes people. The amount of wildlife was beyond my expectation, and seeing everything on sucha small, intimate boat made it even more spoecial and unique.

It was an outstanding, up-close, educational vacation of nature, culture, history, animals and geology! It was everything they promised! Binoculars were plentiful on the boat, but I'm glad I brought my own. Food was excellent. Rooms had black-out shades. Pack/wear multiple layers of clothing (I carried a small backpack when off the ship). Crew were delightful and very accommodating! Remember to jump FEET FIRST first when taking the optional polar plunge! Spend as much time outdoors as you are able and ENJOY!!!

Excellent travel advice and service
This is my second experience working with Adventure Life. I’m sold. Jess Heuermann is an experienced traveler and provides a lot of useful information when planning a trip. These are the questions I like to ask at the outset - What’s it like to go here, there, what would you suggest, what do people report, can we add any additional side trips? Jess took the time to answer my questions and seek additional information to share with me. Petchie Colina is outstanding in helping with travel logistics and final preparations. Adventure Life has excellent guides and offers private guides and small group adventures. We enjoyed the opportunity to talk with the guides and drivers to learn more about their countries, cultures and histories. A highlight was having the guides pick local restaurants where we could share meals together. Highly recommend.

Our six-day tour in Iceland went smoothly with one exception. We had asked for two rooms each night. Somehow we were booked with one room with three beds. It could not be fixed at the first hotel in Reykjavik because the hotel was fully booked. Once informed of the problem, however, Adventure Life rebooked for two rooms for the remainder of the trip. As an 85-year-old traveler, I appreciated that one could participate at different physical levels at many of the stops. Iceland is a great place to visit but on the expensive side.
