Day 1: Bayonne, New Jersey, United States | Embark

Take in views of the Statue of Liberty framed by the rising Manhattan skyline along Bayonne's coastline, which serves as a convenient departure point for heading into New York City. Spot the Bayonne Bridge linking to Staten Island, a famous landmark that has appeared in films like A Beautiful Mind and War of the Worlds. Down on the waterfront, marvel at a 100-foot-tall 9/11 memorial donated by Russia, featuring a metallic tear suspended between steel slabs, all set against striking views of One World Trade Center across the water.

Day 2: Newport, Rhode Island | Cape Cod Canal Transit, United States

Experience Newport, Rhode Island, the historic summer retreat of America's Gilded Age elite. Marvel at extraordinary mansions—including Marble House, The Breakers, and Belcourt Castle—that line the scenic Cliff Walk above the Atlantic. Complete a port call shaped by American history at its most theatrical with a visit to the nation's oldest library and Fort Adams, topped off by an exceptional selection of local seafood restaurants.

Enjoy a rare passage through one of New England's most scenic waterways during the Cape Cod Canal Transit, where small ships smoothly glide under fixed bridges that limit larger vessels. Take in the exceptional surrounding scenery during daylight hours, and watch for the Great Blue Heron and Red-tailed Hawk from the deck during migrating season. Keep an eye out for marine mammals, including the endangered North American right whale, drawn to the ideal conditions created by this unique mix of temperate subtropical and polar waters.

Day 3: Portland, Maine, United States

Portland, Maine, combines New England seafaring heritage with a contemporary food culture that has made it one of America's most celebrated dining destinations. The Old Port district's brick warehouses and fishing wharves now house excellent restaurants and craft breweries, while the Eastern Promenade and Casco Bay ferries offer the lighthouses and lobster rolls that have defined Maine's identity.

Day 4: Boston Massachusetts, United States

Historic yet revolutionary, Boston carries American history on every corner, from the Boston Massacre Site to Bunker Hill, where the first shots of the Revolutionary War were fired. The two-and-a-half-mile Freedom Trail links the city's most significant historic sites, while Fenway Park and fresh New England seafood in the Seaport District round out a city of enduring appeal. Green spaces including Boston Public Garden offer quieter respite amid the dense history.

Day 5: At Sea

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and pursue personal interests, whether visiting the gym, the spa, or simply watching for whales from deck. These blue sea days offer an ideal balance to busy days spent exploring ashore.

Day 6: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Halifax, Nova Scotia's capital and Atlantic Canada's largest city, is defined by its bustling harbor and the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, through which over a million immigrants entered Canada. The star-shaped Halifax Citadel sits above the city, while Peggy's Cove lighthouse watches over the Atlantic nearby. The maritime museum holds Titanic artifacts and stories; many recovered victims were transported to and buried in Halifax.

Day 7: At Sea

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and pursue personal interests, whether visiting the gym, the spa, or simply watching for whales from deck. These blue sea days offer an ideal balance to busy days spent exploring ashore.

Day 8: Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island), Canada

Known as the birthplace of Canada, Charlottetown hosted the 1864 Confederation Conference at Province House, where delegations drafted the plan that became the Dominion of Canada. The Confederation Center of the Arts celebrates this founding chapter, and the musical Anne of Green Gables premiered here in 1965. Fresh Atlantic lobster and mussels and a thriving craft brewing scene make the city as satisfying to eat in as to explore.

Day 9: At Sea

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and pursue personal interests, whether visiting the gym, the spa, or simply watching for whales from deck. These blue sea days offer an ideal balance to busy days spent exploring ashore.

Day 10-11: Quebec City, Canada

Quebec City is North America's most European-feeling city — a UNESCO World Heritage Site where 400-year-old fortifications, cobblestone streets, and the iconic Château Frontenac rise above the St Lawrence River. Samuel de Champlain founded New France here in 1608, and the city's French-speaking character, boardwalk cannon batteries, and Old Town neighborhood have survived intact into the 21st century.

Day 12: Montreal, Canada | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
A French-speaking city of festivals, food markets, and cobblestone streets, Montreal wears its European heritage with Canadian confidence. Mount Royal rises at the city's center, offering panoramic views over a skyline shaped by centuries of history, while the underground city, vibrant neighborhoods, and St. Lawrence waterfront ensure there is no shortage of ways to spend the day.
