Day 1: Bridgetown, Barbados | Embark

Experience the untamed eastern coastline of Barbados, where secluded shores glow with sunrise-colored sands carried across the Atlantic from the Sahara. As the easternmost point of the Caribbean, this island feels deeply connected to Africa and the Old World, standing slightly apart from the rest of the Americas. Bridgetown itself offers a captivating mix of contrasts, famously serving as a place where George Washington once slept. Stroll through Trafalgar Square to see how this relaxed, rum-loving paradise beautifully balances its vibrant island spirit with British customs like cricket and high tea.

Day 2: Rodney Bay, St. Lucia

Situated in northwestern Saint Lucia, Rodney Bay stands out as one of the island's premier travel spots. Famous for powdery shores, vivid turquoise waters, and a lively marina, the area delivers an ideal blend of downtime, aquatic adventures, and evening entertainment. Explore a region rich in history and culture, where French and British colonial roots shine through the local architecture and customs. Whether your perfect getaway involves tranquil beaches, active water sports, or historical insights, discover exactly what you are looking for in this dynamic bay.

Day 3: Cabrits, Dominica

Dominica is a dream-like island, full of surprises. Glide through a steamy orchid-festooned rainforest in a fascinating boat ride or hike to breathtaking Trafalgar Falls and a bubbling lake.

Day 4: Falmouth Harbor, Antigua

The dockyards, marinas, old inns, venerable pubs and convivial crowds of sun-tanned yacht crews- this is the epicenter of the Caribbean yachting world. Today, every faded pink brick and weather-worn bollard of Nelson's Dockyard evokes the presence of the greatest naval commander in history.

Day 5: Basseterre | South Friar's Bay, St.Kitts

St. Kitts' was the first successful colony in the British West Indies. Shop in colorful Basseterre, play golf and tour old plantation houses. For the adventuresome there's a brisk hike through the rainforest.

The beach you visit is a beautiful beach with golden sands and calm, clear waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The beach is flanked by lush hills and offers a tranquil setting, with several beach bars and restaurants providing a laid-back atmosphere.

Day 6: Terre de Haut, Iles des Saintes

Les Saintes is a thoroughly entrancing group of islands lying off Guadeloupe. Enjoy the superb beaches, snorkelling, diving and other watersports on offer.

Day 7: Beach, Martinique

Martinique's beaches are renowned for their stunning white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters, offering picturesque spots for both relaxation and water sports.

Day 8: Bridgetown, Barbados | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
On the wild and rugged east coast of Barbados, the isolated beaches are the color of sunrise, the red sands having blown all the way across the Atlantic from the Sahara. The easternmost island of the Windwards, and indeed, of the entire Caribbean, reaches out to Africa and the Old World, as if not quite part of the New. Bridgetown, Barbados, is an interesting town full of contrasts. George Washington actually slept here! Trafalgar Square reminds you that the laidback, rum- and fun-loving island's British influenced heritage includes revered traditions like cricket and high tea.

Disembark after breakfast and continue your independent trip back home.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
