The Hostal Florence Dixie is named after the first woman to arrive as part of an expedition in the Patagonian Andes in 1879. She wrote "Across Patagonia" detailing the beautiful scenery she saw throughout Patagonia.

The Hostal is located right in the center of Puerto Natales. The hostal's colonial style architecture includes a covered balcony and exterior hallways connecting the rooms. This hostal is the ideal place for resting or starting a great adventure, with its inviting interiors, warm environment and high degree of personalized services provided to travelers. The hostal also has its own private parking area.

The Hostal features central heating, and all rooms have private bathrooms, telephones, and cable TV. E-mail and fax are available, and guests are offered a complimentary continental breakfast.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
