The Refugio Los Cuernos is a simple yet comfortable hikers' shelter in Chile's Torres del Paine National Park. It stands at the feet of its namesake, an astounding granite and sedimentary rock formation called Los Cuernos del Paine, “The Horns of Blue,” named for its resemblance to a pair of horns. Common areas such as a dining area, kiosk and bathrooms/ shower facilities are accessible to campers, hikers, and those in the bunkhouses alike.
Camping
Camping is the default lodging option on our trekking tours. Deluxe campsites which include tents, mats, sleeping bags, and sleeping bag liners are provided and set up for trekkers arrival in camp.
Refugio Bunkrooms
The lodge accommodates 32 people distributed among four rooms, each with four bunk beds for a total of eight beds per room. If you are interested in upgrading your stay to a bunkroom, this may be possible for an additional cost and based on availability. Please inquire with your trip planner about this option.
The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
