Day 1: Half Day Cejar Lagoon Tour

Cejar Lagoon is located at the interior of the Salar de Atacama, around 28 km/17 mi from San Pedro, and 2,450 m/8,038 ft above sea level. The scenic landscape and calypso blue waters make for a stunning combination. Due to the high concentration of mineral salts, you will be buoyant and able to easily float in its waters.

You visit the famous Cejar lagoon to enjoy a bath floating on the saline waters. The excursion also includes a short stop at the “Ojos del Salar” and a visit to the Tebinquinche Lagoon full of stunning formations and vistas. After the visit, you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes and a cocktail in a pleasant state of relaxation.

Please note: Do not walk barefoot near the lagoon because there are very sharp salt particles that can cut through the skin. Swimming in the lagoon is permitted for a maximum duration of 45 minutes. It is not recommended for children under 6 years old and people with certain skin conditions.
